This Is Tomorrow is a metropolitan festival and to improve your experience and to reduce the environmental impact of the event, we encourage our visitors to use public transport to get to us. We're in a great location and there are loads of options for getting around, so please check back closer to the event to plan your travel route if needed.
There are a range of travel methods to get you in and out of Exhibition Park over This Is Tomorrow Festival weekend.
Walk – If you are lucky enough to live close enough to Exhibition Park then leave the car, save your cash, and get to us by foot!
Car – Leave the car at home! We recommend that people refrain from driving to the site, not only more eco friendly but there is also no functioning drop off space and no parking for the festival on-site. If you need to drive in, the city centre has multiple multi-story carparks to choose from.
Flying - Newcastle airport - Exhibition park - 6.6 miles - 12 min drive
Metro ticket from Newcastle airport - Haymarket Metro - £5.20 day ticket, £3.50 single ticket
Train - The nearest train station is Newcastle. There are regular trains from all major cities.
Newcastle train station to Exhibition Park via metro - £3.10 day ticket, £1.90 single
Cycle – If you choose to cycle to us then please note we do not allow bikes on site. However you can easily park them up Newcastle University's cycle hubs right next to the festival site!
Public Transport – We recommend using the fantastic public transport links to the site, including the Metro. Nearest Metro stations to the festival entrance are:
Haymarket: approximately 11 minute walk
Jesmond - approximately 15 min walk
Monument: approximately 18 minute walk
St James: approximately 19 minute walk
The prices for public transport are as follows:
